Parents often ask “What does my son / daughter need to bring to camp?”
Our photography and video summer camps for kids and teens are day camps, and so the list of things to bring is actually quite short. Here is our short checklist of things to bring to camp this summer:

A Camera with Manual Mode & Lens
Don’t panic! If you’re son or daughter doesn’t have their own camera we offer loaner cameras at a small fee. For those that do have their own camera, take note that different camps may require cameras of different levels but all camps require that the camera has manual mode. Video camp requires a camera that has a video mode. Not sure about the camera that you have? Ask us!
Charged camera battery
Not necessary for those using a loaner camera.
Memory card with lots of room
Not necessary for those using a loaner camera.
USB Drive
This is specifically for campers that are using a loaner camera. We recommend at least 8GB for photo camps and 16GB for video camp.
Lunch or Lunch $
Campers should bring a non-refrigerated lunch or lunch money. All of our locations are near a multiple food options, and one day 1 the staff will familiarize the campers with those options. See our locations maps.
A Water Bottle
We take hydration seriously!
Weather Appropriate Clothing
We don’t let weather get us down which is why campers need to be ready to go outside rain or shine! Campers should have hats for those hot summer days.
Sunscreen
While we have sunscreen to pass around during camp its good for campers to bring their own especially if they have skin sensitivities. We always stress the importance of slathering that stuff on before going out for 2 hours on our daily field trips.
Comfortable Walking Footwear
Comfortable sneakers, running shoes or sandals are a must because we walk a lot! Avoid blisters – think comfort over style! (Good luck telling that to your teen)

What Won’t They Need for Camp?
Here are some things you might think are important but your camper won’t need:

- Multiple Lenses: Campers will really only need 1 lens. If they wish they may bring multiple lenses to use on field trips.
- Flash/Tripod:Â Campers won’t need to use flash on a regular basis unless they’re in Teen Camp 2. The instructor will advise on which days they’ll need this equipment.
FYI:
All this information and more will be provided in the Parent Handbook after registration. We’re here for you if you have any questions at all! Just give us a call or email us!
