The largest supermoon shined bright over Toronto last night and it was definitely a great photo op! Although supermoons do occur throughout the year, the one on November 13th is special because it’s the closest its been to earth in decades.
“According to NASA, the so-called ‘supermoon’ will be the closest full moon to earth since 1948, and it won’t be as close again until 2034.” – Toronto Sun
If you missed out on this opportunity to snap a photo on your phone or DSLR, don’t fret! A big, bright moon shines over Toronto several times a year (although it won’t be just as close to earth at the one this past Sunday). Feel free to visit TimeAndDate.com to see the calendar for the moon phases over The Six.
