Happy Victoria Day Weekend!
Known mostly for fireworks and the start of summer weather, Victoria Day weekend has a lot of activities to offer. We have of course, included the best fireworks spots in the city but if you want more than dazzling displays of light we’ve got that covered too.
5. Pirates and Princesses- Black Creek Pioneer Village
Black Creek Pioneer Village is traditionally all about replicating the pioneer lifestyle but during this long weekend, they have decided to turn the village into a fairytale paradise. Everything has been transformed into a pirate and princess adventure with pirate school, charm school, and the opportunity to meet your favourite fairy tale characters. Dressing up as a princess or a pirate is even encouraged!

A great way to celebrate history is to visit Fort York. Open for Victoria Day, the Fort offers cooking demonstrations and traditional English dancing while also operating as a replica war of 1812 era fort. 1. Fireworks
Victoria Day weekend is known for its fireworks displays so it’s something you have to do this long weekend. The spots in the city to check out these displays are Canada’s Wonderland and Ashbridge’s Bay Park. Wonderland’s fireworks display will happen after the park closes on Sunday, May 20. Ashbridge’s Bay hosts a great display as well that takes place over the water in the Beaches neighbourhood.
