5. Pirates and Princesses- Black Creek Pioneer Village
Black Creek Pioneer Village is traditionally all about replicating the pioneer lifestyle but during this long weekend, they have decided to turn the village into a fairytale paradise. Everything has been transformed into a pirate and princess adventure with pirate school, charm school, and the opportunity to meet your favourite fairy tale characters. Victoria Day weekend is known for its fireworks displays so it’s something you have to do this long weekend. The spots in the city to check out these displays are Canada’s Wonderland and Ashbridge’s Bay Park. Wonderland’s fireworks display will happen after the park closes on Sunday, May 20. Ashbridge’s Bay hosts a great display as well that takes place over the water in the Beaches neighbourhood.
