Fashion photography has been around as long as print publications have been in existence but the art has continued to expand as the fashion industry changes. Toronto has such a vivid fashion culture that the amount of fashion photographers in the city is not surprising. 5. Lawrence Cortez
Lawrence Cortez is a Toronto based fashion photographer who travels all over the world to get the perfect shot. He started his career at Ryerson University’s School of Fashion in their fashion communications program and then moved on to the School of Visual Arts for Commerical Photography. He has since been published in King Kong Magazine, worked for Elite Models NYC, and accomplished countless personal photoshoots.

4. Alexandra Votsis
Working as a fashion photographer internationally, Alex has been published in magazines such as Photovogue Italia, HELLO! Magazine Greece, and PhotoEd Magazine. She has conducted photoshoots all over the world including Amsterdam, Florence, and Milan and is a graduate from OCAD University’s photography program.

3. Meital Netzer-Israel
With her own studio, Meital works out of Toronto and Montreal to create her clients’ visions. She works as both a fashion and product photographer across the country and has teamed up with several big organizations including Vogue Italia, GQ Magazine, and Staples Canada.

2. Alex Evans
Originally from Montreal, Alex Evans has settled in Toronto. He moved to Toronto to pursue a degree from OCAD and has since worked on projects for everyone from West 49 to Sony Music Canada to Aldo, He has even shot several celebrities including Jacob Sartorious and MIlky Chance.

Koby started at the Photographic Arts program at Humber College and has since studied at several other instiutions. Internationally recognized for his fashion photography and advertising shots with various awards including W Magazine’s the Shot most voted image, Federation of European Photographers Award, Interational Photography Awards L.A., D.C. Fotoweek International Award, has been exhibited at L’Oréal Fashion Week, during Fotoweek in D.C., and at Massivart.
