2016 was a huge year for GTA Photography Camps. We opened up summer camps in two other cities across North America- Ottawa and Chicago. This venture allowed us to teach even more campers and spread our love of photography further.
We also expanded to a second location on King St E in Toronto to match our Queen St W location. Our campers got to explore more areas of Toronto and it allowed for more students to come join us! Our programming also grew in 2016 as we offered video camp for both youth and teens in Toronto.

Snapshots, a CBC kids television show, premiered on CBC. Three of our instructors, Lauren Cheong, Jordan Fisher, and Chloè Norman, were mentors on the show. Ana Belic, founder and owner of GTA Photography Classes and Camps, was a judge and camper Finn Reeves was a contestant. Snapshots went on to win an International Emmy in 2018 for Best Non-Scripted Kids Entertainment!

The next summer, the changes continued as we moved our Toronto Studio from Queen St W to 25 Toronto St, our current location.
We partnered up with the University of Ottawa Visual Arts Department to host our summer camps in the city and continue to use them as our summer camp venue for the summer of 2018.

2017 also saw some new programs being introduced in Toronto. Sports & Action was introduced to help campers learn how to take pictures of action based activities such as baseball, skateboarding, and more. We also chose to expand our kids camp programming and introduced Kids Camp 2.

Teen Camp 3 was also rolled out for older teens that want to turn photography from a passion into a career by pursuing a post-secondary photography institution.

Now into summer 2018, we anticipate over 1200 campers this year! 2016 & 2017 offered a lot of changes and we look forward to bringing them into this summer.

Sports is a very popular photography topic but it can be difficult to learn the basics. Take this camp to learn how to take crisp action shots.
