There are so many ways to capture memories and tell a story! From creating the latest news article to posting photos from your birthday party on Facebook, photography plays an important role in communicating what happened to your audience.
“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.” — Karl Lagerfeld
This year, we’re offering Street & Documentary Camp in Toronto, Ottawa and Chicago, and here’s what make this program amazing:
1) We explore the city!
Just like our other programs, we will go on daily field trips and explore important landmarks in each city! From exploring Kensington Market (one of Toronto’s most culturally diverse neighborhoods), to capturing the best angle of Parliament Hill in Ottawa and showcasing the glamour of the Magnificent Mile in Chicago, campers will get to see what their city is all about.

2) Developing their own artistic style
Our instructors and counsellors will help campers develop their own artistic voice! With a focus on experiential learning, we organize a number of unique activities so everyone has the chance to develop their own style. See the amazing work from Street & Documentary campers last year below!
3) Learn how to create newsworthy photographs
We don’t just tell you how to create amazing photos! Street & Documentary campers will receive direction and guidance on how to create professional images that are ready to be published.

4) Perfect skill to learn for the future!
From capturing family events to their first trip abroad, this a skill they’ll learn that they can bring with them to their next stages. They won’t have an excuse to send you and their grandparents photos when they leave for their first exchange!
