Lori Waltenbury is a Toronto based wedding, portrait, and travel photographer. She came out on July 9th to speak to our campers about what it’s like to be a professional photographer and to give them some insight into the industry.
Lori spoke to our campers about the importance of capturing the moment. She told stories of her travels – her favourite being a trip she took to South Africa to shoot a wedding.

Lori also has a collection of film from her grandfather who inspired her love for photography. She showed the kids part of that collection and contrasted it with her current work. She works as a wedding and portrait photographer and as well as working as a photo producer for Airbnb. Her true passion is photojournalism which she is able to practice during her travels.

Here are some examples of Lori’s work. Her fields of photography are linked by a common goal: to tell a story! She also likes to experiment with different photography techniques including film photography.
