Capturing Action Too Fast For The Eye To See
Life moves quickly and any successful sports photographer needs the skills to keep up. In this action packed camp, teens will learn how to capture fast moving subjects in unpredictable environments. This camp will make sure that campers don’t miss the moment by providing them with lots of opportunity to practice at various sporting events around the city. We’ll learn all about sports photography and how to capture those captivating moments of triumph, excitement and even heart break.
“I loved all the field trips, the organization and that we had a lot of fun with the instructors and the counsellor. I think the team is great ant everyone came along with everyone.”

The most difficult thing about sport and action photography is getting the timing right and not miss any key shots. In this camp we’ll cover key camera settings to ensure that campers never miss a moment. Our knowledgeable instructor will also give helpful tips on anticipating motion and knowing your subject.
What types of lenses are best for sports photography? Do I need a flash to shoot concerts? What’s a monopod? These are all examples of typical questions that any sport or action photographer might ask and we’ll answer all of them while also recommending what we think are the essentials.
Sport and action photography is another form of documentary shooting which means storytelling is still a big component. We’ll help campers recognize the types of shots they’ll need to provide good coverage of whatever event they might be documenting.
