Happy Teen Tech Week!
Teen Tech Week is an annual event held on the second week in March, which was created by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). Teen Tech Week promotes available digital resources within libraries across the country, and is great to check out if you’re starting college or university soon! Technology is growing, and access to technologial services is becoming easier and easier. Learn more about Teen Tech Week and what it can offer you here!
Give Long Exposure A Try
Long exposure photography can be a great way to take your photography to the next level by capturing movement in one image. Find a subject that has motion but the area around it stays still, for example; people walking, traffic, rides at an amusement park, and a personal favourite water.
Explore Photography With Friends
The only thing better than taking photos is having friends to take photos with! Enjoy a day exploring the city or maybe the outdoors taking snapshots of the world around you. Even if not everyone has a camera a smartphone is a great alternative.
Explore Photo Editing
Photo editing is a key part of being a photographer and helping fix those little mistakes in your image or create something completely different! Lightroom and photoshop are the go-to editing programs and good news you can get a 7-day free trial. Want to learn more about these programs take a look at our photo editing programs for camps & adult classes.
Practice makes perfect! This tech week challenge yourself to take a photo a day of various subjects you come across in your daily life. By the end of the challenge, you’ll be able to reflect on the past week, month, or year, and watch your photography skills improve!
