Our first week running the Nature and Animals program was a great success! The staff and campers had an amazing time and learned so much. They visited a number of cool places in Toronto and took great pictures of flowers, trees and dogs!

On Monday, our campers learned about landscape composition. To practice the art of landscape photography, they went over to the Harbourfront to capture the waterfront.

Tuesday was pet photography day. Our campers studied how to compose interesting and captivating shots of animals. They talked about the best angles to capture pet shots from and how to capture the personality of a pet. Nature & Animals also spent some time discussing the importance of shutter speed when taking pictures of animals.

One of the best days of the week was when Nature & Animals spent their day in High Park! On this trip, they captured shots of dogs, the leaves and plants, and the other animals within the High Park Zoo.

Our campers had a lecture that featured a field trip to Cloud Gardens and they also participated in our weekly photo critique. The photos from this camp were fantastic!

For our last day of Nature & Animals, the campers got to go on another big field trip to Ripley’s Aquarium! After a great day at the aquarium, they came back to celebrate at our Friday exhibit.

Our Top Shot Award for the week went to this beautifully framed shot from camper Azize.
