1) What camera do you use?
I use a Canon Rebel t5 camera with an 18-55mm lens. Â I also share with my mom, a 55-300mm lens, which I use for macro and close up shots. I would love to get my own macro lens one day.
2) What inspired you to start taking photos?
Being up at my cottage and being immersed in that beautiful scenery is really what inspired me to start taking photos and being interested in photography. I used my mom’s camera for the longest time (Canon Rebel t5i) and I started fooling around with it here and there and ended up getting some great shots! Right then, I realized this was my passion. This year I saved up my money and I bought myself a new Canon camera (DSLR) and have been attached to it ever since (literally!). Now I find inspiration almost everywhere I go! I love turning what I see into beautiful photos!
3) Where are your favourite locations to shoot?
I have a lot of favorite places to shoot. Â I love shooting at my cottage, my own house, my neighbourhood and downtown, Toronto. My favorite is downtown because you can find all kinds of awesome architecture in the buildings, and interesting people and pets for portraits. Â There is always something fun and exciting happening downtown!
 4) What advice would you give to other photographers your age?
The advice I would give to future young photographers would be to follow your passion. I think following your passion is essential when you really want something. Â If you love it – do it

5) What is your favourite photography style?
If I had to choose, my favorite photography style would be animal photography (mostly cats and dogs).  I also love to shoot people, and architecture.  I love getting all of that cool and interesting light and shadows and vibrant colours. I also really love portraiture because I can get so many different and awesome shots of people both young and old and from all walks of life. I love it because everyone is different and you get a different result every time.  I guess I don’t really have one favourite, do I? LOL!
6) What are a few other techniques or photography styles that you plan on learning?
This summer in the teen camp, I am looking forward to learning how to fully use my manual mode and use it properly. Â So far I have just been fooling around with it myself.
7) Just so we can find out a bit more about the person behind the lens, could you tell us…
- What is your favourite dessert?
Really?  Just one?  Probably banana or mango ice cream, chocolate or cheesecake, or banana mango chocolate cheesecake…. - Where do you really want to go visit?
When I am older I would love to travel, and see what photos I would bring back with me. My top three places would be: 1) Rome, Italy. I would love to take some great photos of the historic architecture and the landscape but also enjoy the delicious food 🙂 2) Haleakala National Park, Hawaii. Apparently the national park is amazing for astral shooting. That sounds like it would be really cool to try. 3) Agra, India.  I would love to check out the Taj Mahal and I would also get some great portraits of the interesting people there. - What’s your favourite movie?
Guardians of the Galaxy, I love that movie it’s so funny! - Who’s your favourite musician/band?
I love music and I guess currently my favourite musician is Andra Day. Â I love the sound of her voice. - What is your favourite kind of pet?
A dog.  Although I don’t have a dog (hint hint mom!), I would love to get one for a pet.  Not only because they are cute and cuddly but also because they are my favourite thing to photograph (see mom…. there are two great reasons!).
