Take your photography to the next level with this intro to studio lighting! Learn how to work with strobes and lighting accessories to give dramatic impact to your portraits. Through demonstrations, a knowledgable instructor will teach you equipment safety, artificial lighting fundamentals as well as various lighting set ups. You’ll also have hands on practice time to work on your own shots with a professional model!

Intro to Strobe
Get a great introduction to studio strobes by covering your options for lighting kits, equipment safety and various types of set ups. This workshop will also cover lighting accessories such as soft boxes, stands and backdrops.
Camera Settings for Studio
Strobe lighting is very different than natural daylight and how your settings relate to your exposure will change completely. We’ll give you guidance on how to set your aperture, shutter speed and ISO while explaining how to use a hand held light meter.
Photo Shoot with a Model
You’ll get to practice everything you’ve learned in this workshop with a photo shoot with a professional model. With guidance from the instructor, this is a great opportunity to start your portraiture portfolio while experimenting with your new techniques.
