We’re only a few days away from the first day of camps and all of us here at GTA are very excited! We want to introduce you to our 2017 Camp Directors: Brandon (Ottawa), Chanel (Toronto), & Rosie (Chicago).
Summer Camp 2017 Countdown
Chanel is passionate about connecting youth to experiential moments beyond the classroom. As an Ontario Certified Teacher and outdoor educator with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and the High Park Nature Centre, Chanel has taught students of all ages from across the city. While completing her biology and psychology degree at Queen’s University, Chanel started collecting vintage film cameras, which sparked her interest in photography.

Rosie is originally from the UK and obtained her bachelors in photography from The University of The Arts London. After graduating, she moved to Japan where she founded Parades Gallery, an independent art and photography gallery. She has five years of experience working with youth of all ages and loves sharing her passion for photography with her students. This past year, she had the pleasure of taking a road trip to visit cities all around the United States!

Brandon’s love of photography was promoted by his great-grandfather, who had always documented their family. This passion led him to obtained his B.F.A, specializing in Photography, from OCAD University and he is now continuing his studies at the University of Ottawa in the Teacher Education program. Much inspired by my great-grandfather, Brandon’s landscapes have been shown and published in Toronto. With many years experience in camps as well, Brandon’s passion lies not only in photography, but in promoting the Arts to his students.
