Portraiture is a dynamic workshop that is sure to inspire!
Learn how to take better portraits. Class will take you through all the basics from composition and posing your models to more technical aspects, such as lighting styles and handling different lighting conditions.

- Introduction to portraiture
- Composition
- Posing basics
- Portrait Lighting Styles
- Studio lighting demonstrations & practical component
- Natural light and outdoor considerations
- Equipment considerations (lenses, reflectors, etc.)
- In-class assignments and photo review
- Technical considerations (model releases, copyright)
- Current trends in portraiture (traditional vs. candid styles)
FORMAT:
2 (4 hour) Day Workshop or 1 (8 hour) Day Workshop
PRE-REQ’s:
Digital SLR
PHOTO 101 or equivalent. We do not cover the basics of photography in this course.
COST:
$300 + HST

Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.
All class registration is FINAL. Full payment is required to secure a spot.
Unfortunately, we do not allow transfers to other sessions as we hold the spot and others may have been turned away.
In emergencies we may make an exception; however, there will be a transfer fee of $50 per change.
GTA Photography Classes reserves the right to cancel or postpone any workshop without notice. If such an event occurs, pre-registered students will be notified.
All classes begin promptly at the stated time. Any missed material is forgone by the student.
