PHOTOSHOP I: Introduction to Photoshop
Take your images from good to great! Learn what the pros are doing in Photoshop to tweak their images. Photoshop is an essential final step in digital photography to completing your images.
This class is geared towards photographers new to Photoshop and to those looking for a a good introduction to the software. Take a look at the topics below for details on items covered during the course.
TOPICS DISCUSSED:
- Basic navigation (overall layout, opening, resizing images)
- Use of layers
- Basic adjustments (cropping, colour, brightness, contrast, sharpening)
- Keyboard shortcuts for efficient workflow
- Use of curve adjustments and levels
- Other key tools: Clone, Spot, Dodge and Burn
- Selection tools and masks
- Combining multiple images
- Overview of the integration with Bridge (Aperture / Lightroom)
- Processing RAW files
- Actions and Batch Processing
- Saving images and exporting for web or print
FORMAT:
All classes are 8 hours in class with hands on practical workshop components in each session.
PRE-REQ’s:
- Laptop (MAC / PC) with Adobe Photoshop & Bridge preloaded

Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.
All class registration is FINAL. Full payment is required to secure a spot.
Unfortunately, we do not allow transfers to other sessions as we hold the spot and others may have been turned away.
In emergencies we may make an exception; however, there will be a transfer fee of $50 per change.
GTA Photography Classes reserves the right to cancel or postpone any workshop without notice. If such an event occurs, pre-registered students will be notified.
All classes begin promptly at the stated time. Any missed material is forgone by the student.
