The format of the course material is similar to Photo 101 – but they are reserved for kids & teens looking to get into the field of photography.
Teen camps have a significant practical component. Every day students will get a chance to shoot in new locations around our studio.
TOPICS DISCUSSED:
- Composition
- Exposure (Aperture / Shutter Speed / ISO)
- Key camera settings
- Practical field trip (100% devoted to shooting and putting the principles we learned into practice)
- In-depth review and critique session
- Introduction to Portraiture
FORMAT:
4 WEEK SESSIONS (Same topics as PHOTO 101): 2 hours per week
TEEN CAMPS: All day sessions (9 am – 3pm)
PRE-REQ’s:
Digital SLR or any point & shoot camera that can shoot in manual mode (”M”).If you need help figuring out whether your camera is appropriate or need camera suggestions, please see

LOANER CAMERAS AVAILABLE: ($49.50 plus HST) Please also note that we do have loaner cameras available if you do not have a camera.
To borrow our cameras during class time, just register as usual and select the loaner camera option in the registration process.

REGISTRATION POLICIES:
Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.
All class registration is FINAL. Full payment is required to secure a spot.
Unfortunately, we do not allow transfers to other sessions as we hold the spot and others may have been turned away.
In emergencies we may make an exception; however, there will be a transfer fee of $50 per change.
Registration deadlines are 1 week prior to the start of a session; however, please note that in most cases our sessions book up before the registration deadline.
GTA Photography Classes reserves the right to cancel or postpone any workshop without notice. If such an event occurs, pre-registered students will be notified.
All classes begin promptly at the stated time. Any missed material is forgone by the student.
